Beyond.com Reports the Executive Market is Heating up in Philadelphia

Companies that are recruiting candidates in the Philadelphia Executive market can expect to find the most prospects in the Sales & Sales Management, Information Technology and Accounting & Finance industries, according to recent statistics from the Beyond.com Network. With the most new candidates since the start of Second Quarter 2007, the Sales & Sales Management industry is ripe with prospective Vice Presidents and Sales Managers. Those are the most sought-after sales industry positions, with 31% and 28% of the candidate pool looking to land a job.

The Philadelphia Information Technology sector has also faired well over the quarter. Companies recruiting Directors of Information Technology and General or Project Managers can expect a fresh candidate pool going into the fall hiring season, as those titles are most abundant among executive-level Information Technology candidates.

Rounding out Philadelphia’s top three industries for executive-level candidates, Accounting & Finance will offer up more Vice Presidents, controllers, general management candidates and directors than any other candidate segments within the industry.

All of this is good news for companies recruiting in those industries but we would advise hiring managers to keep up their A-game going into the fall season. With the same industries (this time Accounting & Finance, Sales & Sales Management and then Information Technology) topping the order of Philadelphia industries with the most executive-level jobs posted, we expect a fair amount competition in this market through the fall.
